Buried at the bottom of a Las Vegas Sun article today is the tidbit that Obama's favorite character on The Wire is Omar, the uzi-carrying thug who steals from drug dealers. Jason Zengerle over at The Plank said Obama's pick was the obvious choice. He may be right -- it's easy to pick the guy who takes matters into his own hands and fixes the city's problems that the city won't fix. But as Michelle Cottle correctly pointed out in response to Zengerle, Omar's a pretty dope character.Also, lost in this discussion is the really cool fact that Obama watches The Wire. Seriously, that dude knows what's up.
