Sen. Patrick Leahy, the chairman of the Judiciary Committe, endorsed Obama this morning. Had he endorsed Clinton, it probably wouldn't mean much, but the fact that a guy who has been in the Senate since 1974 chose Obama seems to put a dent in Clinton's message that her experience is the most important thing. According to Ben Smith, during the conference call announcing the endorsement, Leahy said, "We need a president who can reintroduce America to the world – and actually reintroduce America to ourselves." He also apparently compared Obama to RFK.
Update: I made Leahy sound older than he is. He likened Obama to RFK, not JFK. I've changed the post.
